ZHSUST EEE CLUB SUCCESSFULLY HOSTS INFORMATIVE WEBINAR ON SUBSTATION DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS

Sikder University of Science and Technology, is pleased to announce the successful completion of their highly informative webinar, titled “Basic Concept of Substation Design.” The webinar was held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 9:00 PM, and was conducted live on the ZOOM Platform.

- Load Calculation: The webinar covered essential techniques for accurately calculating electrical loads within a substation, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- PFI Calculation: Participants gained knowledge about Power Factor Improvement (PFI) calculation methods and their significance in substation design.
- Earthing Design: The principles of effective earthing design, essential for equipment protection and personnel safety, were thoroughly explained.
- LPS Design: The webinar delved into lightning protection system (LPS) design considerations, a critical aspect of safeguarding substation infrastructure.
- HT & LT Cable Selection: Attendees learned about the factors involved in selecting high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) cables, crucial for efficient substation operations.
